Liposomal Nutrient Delivery

The phospholipid bilayer is able to fuse with the cell membranes while keeping the nutrient-dense core intact. Sunflower phospholipids are unsaturated, they form a more flexible liposomal membrane ideal for intraoral absorption. This unique property allows liposomes to act as delivery vehicles--effectively deliverying nutrients intracellularly, increasing nutrient absorption across transmucosal membranes and protecting nutrients from the harsh environment of the gastrointestinal tract.
